Simkiss are complete rubbish. They do take good photos but you wont get them. Don't use Jason Simkiss

What a nightmare after waiting 10 weeks for our wedding photos eventualy spoke 2 jason after many atempts 2 contact him, to be told that we are not getting our pictures and to go away!!! we payed well in advance cash as he said he couldnt take a card payment, we should have know!devestated cant belive this man could be so rude!! beware will take your money and run!!!!!!!!!!just hope noone else has to go through what we have your wedding photos are ment to be with you forever and this man has made sure ours are not!!!!!!

I have put off leaving a review regarding Simkiss Photography to allow him a chance to put things right. As it now the eve of our wedding anniversary, I think that time has passed! We got married last September and booked Simkiss as our wedding photographers. We paid 1,700 for two photographers (one of which we were led to believe would be Jason), a wedding album with 50 images, a piece of wall art and a small mother's album. We mistakenly believed if we paid top money we would receive a better service. Everything was fine up until we had paid the balance about three months before our wedding. After that, Jason invited us to a meeting in the shop to discuss our photography, however he didn't turn up. This set alarm bells ringing in my head however the money was paid and I tried to forget about it. On our wedding day, Jason didn't attend to photograph our wedding, instead Sam, his assistant (who is very nice incidentially) and a young boy who must have only just completed college arrived. Whilst some of the photographs are lovely, a lot of key moments were missed (for instance, there are no photographs of my husband with his best man). I wasn't overly impressed with the quality and submitted a complaint (which I am still due a response). I didn't feel they had the necessary experience to group people together, or authoritative presence to arrange the photographs my husband did all of that. My main issue however has been with the time it has taken to receive our wedding album. When I say time taken I underexaggerate. we still haven't received it a year on. I have given Jason ample opportunity to be fair with us, I visited him and told him I understood that cash flow can be tight, however he needed to keep us up to date with what is going on, however we have been messed around during our whole experience. We are now in the unhappy position of having to take Simkiss Photography to the small claims court. I have found the whole experience incredibly distressing, not helped by Jason's reluctance to keep us up to date with what is going on. If you are looking forward to enjoying looking through your wedding album with your family, I certainly would not recommend Simkiss Photography. I know of at least two other people who have gone through exactly the same problems and I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

I also agree with Jessica this bussiness is outstanding! From the day we met and the day we left happy with our finished (fabulous) wedding album. We felt so comfortable throughout the whole proccess and steps of our wedding. The service was outstanding and i would reccomend simkiss photography to any and EVERY couple getting married! Im happy you had such a great day like we did! And mainly thanking our photographer for capturing every special moment of it!

I totally disagree with that comment from b2b thats such an insulting comment for such a great photographer! Me and my now husband initially met jason and his team of photographers for a photoshoot of us and our child. He was very pleasant, extremely understanding and very on the ball with everything. Himself and his work team made us feel very welcome and at ease. We were very impressed with all services from simkiss photography we used them for our wedding also. I can admit it was the very same experience we had when we first met if not better. I also understand that businesses take deposits to secure dates? So just because you decided you wanted a refund to go elsewhere that surely cannot be his fault and to talk badly about him on the reviews me and my husband lost aq 500 deposit from a certain hotel but surely did not kick a fuss as it was our decision not to use them and thats what the deposit was taken for! So brides really do feel comfortable with simkiss because we did and also friends of ours we reccomended.

We were initially very impressed with this company's website and images. However, we had a very bad experience with them and hope that they have learnt from it and won't do the same to anybody else. We found it very difficult to get in touch with them and, when we did, we were treat very badly. After travelling over 40 miles to make an appointment with them (which took weeks to arrange), they failed to show up and didn't provide any sort of apology or explanation for this. As out trust and confidence in them had been destroyed, we asked them to refund our deposit and let us move on from the experience (with only 8 weeks until our wedding). However, they were extremely unprofessional, rude and nasty and told us they would not be refunding our money and that we had actually done them a favour by cancelling! Not what you want when you are paying so much money to a so-called professional. Be careful.
